1. Agreement to Terms
By participating in the MySSLPro Affiliate Program ("Program"), you ("Affiliate") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. MySSLPro reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, with changes effective upon posting to our website.
2. Program Overview
The MySSLPro Affiliate Program allows approved affiliates to earn commissions by referring customers to mysslpro.com. Affiliates receive a unique tracking link to promote our SSL certificate products and services.
3. Eligibility
To participate in the Program, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a valid website, blog, social media presence, or email list
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Not be located in a country subject to U.S. embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
MySSLPro reserves the right to refuse or terminate any affiliate application at our sole discretion.
4. Commission Structure
Commission Rates:
- Standard rate: 5% of the sale value
- Commissions are earned on the initial SSL certificate purchase only
- Renewals and recurring payments are not eligible for commission unless otherwise specified
- Minimum payout threshold: $50
Payment Terms:
- Commissions are paid once you reach the minimum payout threshold via PayPal/Bank Transfer/Other.
- Payments are issued within 30 days after the end of the period
- Valid tax documentation (W-9 or W-8BEN) may be required
5. Cookie Duration
Our tracking cookies remain active for 90 days from the initial click. If a referred customer makes a purchase within this period, you will receive credit for the sale.
6. Affiliate Responsibilities
6.1 Promotional Methods
Affiliates may promote MySSLPro through:
- Personal websites and blogs
- Email marketing to opt-in subscribers
- Social media platforms
- Paid advertising (with restrictions, see Section 7)
- YouTube and video content
- Webinars and educational content
6.2 Required Disclosures
Affiliates must:
- Clearly disclose the affiliate relationship in accordance with FTC guidelines
- Include language such as "This post contains affiliate links" or "I may earn a commission"
- Place disclosures in a clear and conspicuous manner
- Comply with all local disclosure requirements
6.3 Accurate Representation
Affiliates must:
- Provide accurate information about MySSLPro products and services
- Not make false or misleading claims
- Not guarantee specific results or outcomes
- Direct technical questions to MySSLPro support
7. Prohibited Activities
Affiliates may NOT:
7.1 Trademark and Branding
- Bid on MySSLPro trademarks, brand names, or misspellings in paid search campaigns
- Use "MySSLPro" or variations in domain names
- Register social media handles that include MySSLPro branding
- Imply official partnership or endorsement without written permission
7.2 Deceptive Practices
- Use spam, unsolicited email, or bulk messaging
- Create fake reviews or testimonials
- Use misleading advertising or clickbait
- Cookie stuff or engage in fraudulent tracking methods
- Generate fake leads or self-referrals
- Use automated tools to generate clicks or impressions
7.3 Content Restrictions
- Promote through adult, illegal, or offensive content
- Associate MySSLPro with controversial or harmful content
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
7.4 Competitive Practices
- Offer cashback, rebates, or incentives from your commission without written approval
- Advertise pricing lower than displayed on mysslpro.com
- Redirect traffic through coupon or deal sites without permission
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 License Grant
MySSLPro grants affiliates a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use our trademarks, logos, and promotional materials solely for promoting the Program in compliance with these terms.
8.2 Usage Guidelines
- Use only approved marketing materials provided by MySSLPro
- Do not alter logos or branding materials
- Maintain brand integrity in all promotions
- Remove all MySSLPro branding immediately upon termination
9. Commission Forfeiture
MySSLPro reserves the right to withhold or revoke commissions for:
- Fraudulent activity or policy violations
- Chargebacks or refunded orders
- Customer disputes or cancellations within 30 days
- Violation of these Terms and Conditions
- Low-quality traffic or suspicious referral patterns
10. Termination
10.1 Termination by Affiliate
Affiliates may terminate participation at any time by providing written notice to MySSLPro.
10.2 Termination by MySSLPro
MySSLPro may terminate an affiliate's participation immediately for:
- Violation of these Terms and Conditions
- Fraudulent or unethical behavior
- Damage to MySSLPro's reputation or brand
- Inactivity for [6] consecutive months
- Any reason at MySSLPro's sole discretion
10.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Affiliate must cease all promotional activities immediately
- Unpaid commissions above the minimum threshold will be paid according to normal schedule
- Commissions below minimum threshold may be forfeited
- All rights to use MySSLPro intellectual property are revoked
11. Indemnification
Affiliate agrees to indemnify and hold harmless MySSLPro, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from:
- Affiliate's breach of these Terms
- Affiliate's promotional activities
- Violation of any laws or third-party rights
- False or misleading statements made by Affiliate
12. Limitation of Liability
MySSLPro shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Lost profits or revenue
- Technical issues affecting tracking or reporting
- Decisions regarding commission eligibility or payment
- Program modifications or termination
Maximum liability shall not exceed total commissions earned by Affiliate in the preceding 12 months.
13. Relationship of Parties
Affiliates are independent contractors. This agreement does not create:
- An employer-employee relationship
- A partnership or joint venture
- An agency relationship
- Authority to bind MySSLPro to any obligation
Affiliates are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and business expenses.
14. Confidentiality
Affiliates agree to keep confidential:
- Commission rates and payment terms (unless publicly disclosed)
- Proprietary business information
- Customer data accessed through the Program
- Performance metrics and analytics
This obligation survives termination of the agreement.
15. Data Privacy
15.1 Personal Information
MySSLPro will collect and process affiliate personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
15.2 Customer Data
Affiliates must:
- Comply with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Not collect or store customer payment information
- Protect any customer data obtained through promotional activities
- Not share customer information with third parties
16. Modifications to Program
MySSLPro reserves the right to:
- Modify commission rates with 30 days notice
- Change program terms and conditions
- Add or remove products from the program
- Suspend or terminate the program entirely
Continued participation constitutes acceptance of modifications.
17. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of California/USA, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California/USA.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between MySSLPro and Affiliate regarding the Program and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
